Venue:

Join us for an evening with the already legendary, Berlin-based collective Rimini Protokoll. The collective creates participatory documentary theatre experiences in which the actual subjects tell their own stories, voice their own opinions, and illustrate their own circumstances. Their work is truly international, commissioned by major festivals in Europe and elsewhere; recent topics include Egyptian muezzins’ resistance of the consolidation of their profession (Radio Muezzin), Athenians grappling with the Greek economic crisis (Prometheus in Athens); and jet-setting children of corporate executives who feel most at home while in transit (Airport Kids).

Afternoon Session: Film screenings of excerpts of Election Campaign Wallenstein, Remote Berlin, and 100% Melbourne

Evening Session: A conversation between the members of Rimini Protokoll, Gideon Lester (Director of Theatre Programs, Bard College; Co-Curator, Crossing the Line Festival) and Frank Hentschker (Martin E. Segal Theatre Center).

Co-presented with the Goethe-Institut New York, Crossing the Line ’13, and The Center for the Humanities at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
